In July 2020, Dr. Steven Althaus assumed overall responsibility for the Grenzebach Group’s business. As a member of the Advisory Board, Dr. Althaus had already been associated with the company since 2015.

His explicit goal is to continue to develop the successful path blazed by company founder Rudolf Grenzebach in a contemporary manner and to lead the company forward into a successful future.

Dr. Steven Althaus is married and has three adult children.

Sonja Grenzebach

Principal shareholder and Chair of the Advisory Board

Sonja Grenzebach has been the main shareholder of the group of companies since 2014. As honorary member of the Advisory Board, she actively shapes the company.

In addition, Ms. Grenzebach is a member of the UniversityCouncil of Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and a member of the Donau-Ries Regional Assembly of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. She is involved in the Board of Trustees of the Rudolf and Maria Grenzebach Foundation. 

The daughter of company founder Rudolf Grenzebach has four children.

Rudolf Grenzebach

Founder of the company

Rudolf Grenzebach founded the company in 1960, and it is thanks to his initiative that his parents’ agricultural machinery business has developed into an internationally active group of companies. The company founder, born in 1930, is an honorary member of the Advisory Board.

In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Rudolf Grenzebach is involved in politics and social affairs both regionally and nationally. He was a local councilor, district councilor and for 19 years a member of the board of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) in Bavaria. Rudolf Grenzebach has received numerous awards for his commitment. Among other things, he is a recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon, the Bavarian Order of Merit and the Bavarian Business Medal of Merit. Since 2010, the Grenzebachs have supported young people and employees who find themselves in need through no fault of their own with the Rudolf and Maria Grenzebach Foundation.

Together with his wife, he lives not far from the company headquarters.
