As a medium-sized company, it is crucial for us to create a healthy working environment in today's fast-paced working world, where hectic and constant pressure are commonplace.

We at Grenzebach understand that the well-being of our employees not only affects their personal health but also significantly improves their productivity and the working environment.  We are therefore always looking for ways to improve our employees' well-being.

See our “Active Break” health initiative to find out how we go about offering our employees health concepts that are optimally tailored to their needs.

What is the Active Break?

The “Active Break” is a pilot project and a potential response to the needs of our employees for more exercise and a more conscious approach to taking time out during their working day.

The health initiative was prompted by an employee survey conducted by AOK Donauwörth. Together with students of business psychology at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, a survey on the design of an Active Break was initiated in order to develop targeted activities that revitalize body and mind. The project was supported by Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.

The goal of the initiative is to find purposeful and varied activities for our employees to relax and recharge their batteries during the working day, for example through:

Outdoor walks

Short breaks out in the fresh air help to improve concentration and reduce fatigue.

Qigong and yoga

These exercises have been proven to reduce stress symptoms and help with concentration.

Progressive muscle relaxation

A specific method for reducing tension that helps our employees to leave professional stress behind.

“The Augsburg University of Applied Sciences greatly appreciates the cooperation with companies such as the Grenzebach Group because it offers our students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice. The 'Active Break' pilot project allows them to actively contribute to health care in the company and at the same time develop important skills in change management. Such partnerships promote the professional development of students and increase the company's image as an attractive employer in the region. We work together to create a positive corporate culture that encourages the well-being and performance of our employees.”

A fun way to a more active working life

FOCUS ON WELL-BEING

Employees were able to scan QR codes at various stations during a scavenger hunt on the company premises as part of the Active Break health initiative, which led to stretching and exercise videos. This interactive approach to health care has proven to be very positive and demonstrated that creative solutions can also contribute to an active and fulfilling working life.

We at Grenzebach are convinced that pilot projects such as the Active Break not only provide short-term relief, but also boost the health and satisfaction of our employees in the long term. Combining physical activities with digital solutions, we are creating a modern health management system that focuses on the needs of our employees.
