Revolutionary

The "German-Style Apprenticeship Program", implemented in the state of Georgia in the United States, was honored with the "Prosperity Award".

A trend-setting trophy: With the "Prosperity Award", the intensive efforts taken by Grenzebach to professionally train young adults in the US were being appreciated. With this award, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce honors the commitment to economic success and development.  “We are very proud to receive this award and acknowledgment. For us, this is an incentive to further develop our young specialists through training at our company as well as through establishing the respective structures in our education system", says Martin Pleyer, COO of Grenzebach Corporation in Newnan, Georgia.

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle of Georgia signed the first U.S. apprenticeship consortium, the Georgia Consortium for Advanced Technical Training, GA CATT, for high school students into effect at a commencement event in Newnan, GA May 16. Grenzebach together with the German-American Chamber of Commerce have played a key role for many years in promoting the "German-Style Apprenticeship Program". Especially in times of Industry 4.0, training programs like these are essential to build and maintain a strong and special skilled workforce. The program started off with a total of 10 high-school students completing their practical semester in one of the participating companies which are remunerating the students for their hours worked.

In July of 2016, Nathan Deal, Governor of Georgia, visited the headquarters of Grenzebach in Hamlar. Deal and his companions of politics and business were quite impressed by the Hamlar Education Center.
